BHS Silver Challenge Awards

BHS Silver Challenge Awards

Training and Assessments for horse care, riding and lunging. The Ride Safe Award is held separately. All 8 awards when completed we gain students direct entry to the BHS Stage 2 assessment.

Entry Requirements: A good understanding of horses is required; you should be competent in care and riding including jumping a small course of fences. Silver awards are recommended for over 13 years of age. Please read the Challenge Awards Learning Outcome document, can requested before booking.

Course Programme:

The course will consist of 3 training days 10 am to 1pm.

  • Mock Assessment Friday 13th October
  • Training Friday 27th October
  • Training Friday 2nd November
  • Assessment Day Friday 24th November

Our courses will run as per Challenge Award and assessment per award. Learning material is included.

Course Cost:

7 challenge awards and assessment is €460

Our Autumn BHS Training Schedule at Balcultry EC 🔥🔥

Covering the following Topics and Assessment, as per BHS learning outcomes. Working through the Q & As for the BHS Assessments Stage 1 & 2. Open to All. Assessments are optional.

🔥23rd & 30th Sept. Sat 2pm Lunging. Covering the Stage 2 and Bronze, Silver Challenge Awards. E40 per class 1.15hrs. Continually assessment.

🔥4th Oct 2023 Wednesday 7-9pm. BHS Care covering St1 & 2. 4-week Course 2 hrs. e200 or e60 per class.

🔥6th October Friday. 10.30 – 3.30pm. 1st BHS Riding Assessment. BHS Challenge Awards Silver. Details on flyer

🔥1st Nov 2023. BHS Stage 2. Care and Lunge Assessment. Book by contacting BHS Education Dept. !!FULL!!

🔥BHS CA Silver Assessment Care 10th Nov 11am. 3 Challenge Silver Awards; Caring for your horse, handling your horse, and knowing your horse. Assessment, booklets, and certificates. Inhouse students only.

(When all 8 books are completed, students will have direct entry to Stage 2)

TY STUDENTS BHS STAGE 1

TRAINING PROGRAMME

A Training program will run on Fridays.

Throughout the transition year school year from 9:15am – 1pm.

This program will allow students to study, train for and achieve their BHS Stage 1 exam.
